One of my favourite Podcasts has always been That Sound. The show used to be called The Post Modern Rock Show. Who wouldn’t love that title. It’s been about four years since I started listening. I cant tell you how I first found the show, but I think I was searching for some Thermals music and came across it. The presenter is one Dave Cusick, a Portland native living in Canada. Dave has some of the best taste in music. I think I could count on one hand the amount of songs I haven’t liked in fours years of listening.

This past summer I got to spend a short week in Portland and the latest show brings back all the memories of a great trip and an awesome city. My new favourite track of the month is from a Portlkand band.  Fresh off their wild and raucous 2008 release, One Shoe Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Portland, Oregon’s The Ascetic Junkies .
