I have been back training for 3 weeks now. To be exact this Saturday will be 3 weeks. I’ve done  1 long run and 2 track sessions. I’m trying to cross train allot more and spending allot of time stretching.

Tonight was the first night I did 400 hundreds and atteempted to stay the pace. They were all 65-71 which is not too bad considering the bumpy ground and muck in the park.My 5K 400M time is 76. I need to get abck on the track at the weekend and give it that bit extra.

Everything has been going wel  but on a dissapointing note I have not completely gotten rid of the back pain. Tonight in training my knee was still sore and after sitting down to write this I alreasy have  stiff glutes.

I decided during the week that it would be best to cancel the marathon for thid year and spend the winter concentrating on cross country. APart from the national half I have made a commitment to myself to run nothing longer than 10 miles until Spring 2010 at the earliest.
